Sunday's long run...very long
This was jolly tiring... Serve me right for being lazy during the week. The good news is that while slow at 2:31, the time is better than the cut of time for the Skyline. Hurrah!!
Only 26.6 miles this week, but a nine mile bike ride on the fixie...

Thursday's run
Eight miler to Bamford; 1:08.
24: 48 for the 5k; 52:50 for the 10k. I though this was quite good until I looked at the charts and saw it makes a 4:03 marathon. Still, the positive thing is that it's 30s a mile faster than when I last ran it on Jan 1....if only 30s a month could be maintained.

Wednesday's run
5.5 miles - youth hostel and then the Nab...mostly uphill, or at least it seemed like it. Not sure who worked out the rise of the steps, but they knew nothing of running downhill. Still, dog enjoyed it...map to follow

Map - Sunday's run
Map of Sunday's run
- for those that care. Very muddy in the off-road sections. A bit of an artificial loop to get 10 miles.

Sunday's 10 miler
A number of issues raised by this not very brisk run to Hathersage: firstly, runnng in foul wether is no fun whatsoever; secondly, the idea to go off-road at Shatton was not the greatest navigation idea ever; thirdly, non of the top tips found in the running press ever mentions that hair gel flows into the eyes after about an hour of continuous rain.

Saturday's run..
Was a fairly muddy romp of 6.4 miles with the dog. Mapped here:
http://goo.gl/R0OeJ - although it would appear to be 8.6 miles according to the map.
Slow time due to dog an swamp like conditions at the western end.....I shall write on Sunday's ten-miler later....

Running 1
Ok......a blog is supposed to help motivate me...well, I guess writing is easier than running. Yesterday, Saturday, was a brisk,I wish, 6.4 miler west up the valley to Upper Booth and then south through Highfield to Dalehead and back across the fields......muddy, muddy, muddy...still, my training partner seemed to like it. She was in her basket all evening.
